On 16th February 2017, in Nhon Hoa Economic Park, An Nhon district, CJ group (Korea) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 6th feed mill in Vietnam. The event was attended by the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung, Mr Vo Dinh Thu - Deputy of the City’s Council and representatives of concerned departments.

In the warm and friendly atmosphere of the upcoming Tet holiday, on 19th January 2017 at Seagull Hotel, the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee had a nice meeting with more than 100 Vietnamese expatriates (Viet Kieu) and their relatives who were working and studying overseas when they came home for Tet holiday. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, the Provincial People Committee’s Chairman, Mr. Phan Phi Ho, President of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the leaders of concerning provincial departments and sectors in the province.

On 20th December 2016, the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) issued the Decision No.4684/QĐ-UBND approving the planning of textile industry development in Vietnam to 2025 and orientation to 2035 with the goal of turning textile industry into one of the key industries, toward modernization, specialization; gradually shifting from processing to production basing on suitable and modern technology, advanced quality management, labor management, increased competitiveness and environmental protection in line with international standards.

On 12.06.2016, at the office of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), Chairman Ho Quoc Dung, Vice Chairman Tran Chau and representatives of several concerned departments had a meeting with an entrepreneur delegation from Saxony-Anhalt state (Federal Republic of Germany) led by Mr Peter Harms - CEO of Harms and Gotch thermal plant.

On the morning of 21st November 2016, at the office of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), Chairman Ho Quoc Dung and leaders of related departments had a meeting with Suihou Hospital Corporation led by Mr. Mima Takeomi-the Board of management’s President and CEO of the Corporation.

On the afternoon of 4th November 2016, the Provincial People Committee (PPC) held Ceremony of presenting investment approval decisions and signing land lease contracts for secondary projects in Nhon Hoi Industrial Park (Zone A). The event had attendance of the PPC Standing Vice Chairman Phan Cao Thang Phan and leaders of relevant departments, and representatives from the businesses involved.

On 1.11.2016, at the office of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Standing Vice Chairman Phan Cao Thang and leaders of related departments and agencies had a meeting with Truman group led by Mr. Le Manh Thuong, the Management Board President, who made a visit to Binh Dinh province to explore investment opportunities.

On 27^thNovember 2016, Hoa Sen group successfully organized the Announcement ceremonyof the architectural design contest for Hoa Sen Tower Project (High-ClassApartment and Hotel Service and Trade Centre, 01 Ngo May, Quy Nhon city).

Afterthe meeting between the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Chairman Ho QuocDung with the visiting team of CJ group (Korea), the Investment PromotionCentre (IPC) of Department of Planning and Investment is making recommendationsof locations for the investor to conduct surveys and researches for their projectsin Binh Dinh.

On 19th July at the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) office, Chairman Ho Quoc Dung and leaders of related departments had a meeting with Waz Lian company (Malaysia) led by Ms Ta Hui Hean, the management board’s Vice President of the company, who came to Binh Dinh to look for investment opportunity.

Vietnam Multimedia Corporation (VTC) and Truong Thanh Vietnam company are in the process of making proposal for investment in a free wifi system in Quy Nhon city serve residents and visitors

On the afternoon of 11th June, Binh Dinh ProvincialPeople’s Committee (PPC) in collaboration with Commercial Bank for Investmentand Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in HoChi Minh City (TECO) held a dialogue between leaders of Binh Dinh Province and Taiwaninvestors and enterprises in Ho Chi Minh city. The event was attended byapproximately 100 Taipei enterprises and more than 30 domesticenterprises. 

On the morning of 13^th May 2016, the Investment promotion center(IPC) took Mr José Sánchez-Barroso González, the Vice Honorary Consul of Spainin Center of Vietnam and two representatives of SBH Hotels & Resortslocated in Spain to the tourist venue No.8 (Bai Dai) on Quy Nhon - Song Cau tourismroute for investigation. This is a venue drawing a lot of attention ofinvestors recently.

The Prime Minister has recently approved to add Becamex– Binh Dinh industrial, urban and service zone to the planning of Nhon HoiEconomic Zone. 

It has been a great privilege for Binh Dinh to have 20 enterprises inthe Top 500 fastest growing enterprises (FAST500) and 5 enterprises with thebest prospect (BP500) in Vietnam in 2016. The announcement ceremony will beheld on 12th April 2016 at the National Conference Centre, Ha Noi.

Theconference on investment promotion and tourism development of Binh Dinh 2016 tookplace on 3^rd April 2016 in the city of Quy Nhon is an importantmilestone for the transformation of economic structure of Binh Dinh province.

Binh Dinh has a good variety of beautifullandscape and Ho Nui Mot has long been acknowledged as a place with splendidnature.

Key activitiesfor this year which took place on 20^th – 21^st February2016 included inauguration of Quang Trung Emperor statue; seminar onconstruction of successful and prosperous Binh Dinh homeland, 3^rd BiinhDinh festive day in Ho Chi Minh city.
