Under a decision newly made by PM Nguyen Tan Dung, from March 1 on, the issuance of Certificates of Origin (C/O) will be free.
Earlier, in a meeting of leaders of the Government and some ministries on stimulating investment, granting and guaranteeing loans for enterprises to maintain production and employment for laborers, the Government chief had agreed on the proposals made by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Viet Nam National Textile Garment Group (Vinatex) and some related agencies for temporarily abrogating charge of C/O issuance.
This is a move to help enterprises save cost, boost up and facilitate export to other countries.
The current issuance fee for a new C/O is VND 50,000 and the re-issuance charges VND 10,000.
