Binh Dinh invites LOTTE group (Korea) to make investment in the locality

On the afternoon of March 13, 2024, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan had a meeting with the delegation of LOTTE Viet Nam Shopping Joint Stock Company, led by Mr. Shin Ju Back - General Director.

LOTTE Viet Nam Shopping Joint Stock Company (LOTTE Mart) belongs to the Korean LOTTE group, present in Vietnam since 2008 with the establishment of LOTTE Mart district 7 (Ho Chi Minh city), LOTTE Mart is considered one of the pioneering foreign retailers in the Vietnamese market. After 15 years of development, LOTTE Mart Vietnam has successfully put into operation 16 shopping centers and supermarkets across the country, increasingly receiving the support and trust of consumers as one of the best shopping destinations.

At the meeting, Mr. Shin Ju Back - General Director of LOTTE Viet Nam Shopping Joint Stock Company stated his intention to research and expand Lotte's investment and business in the Central region and Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh is one option. He also expressed his desire to support the promotion of tourism development in Binh Dinh province, including approaching customers from Korea.

Also in the afternoon of the same day, the LOTTE Mart’s delegation surveyed several locations in Quy Nhon.

During the meeting, Chairman Pham Anh Tuan briefed on the potential and investment opportunities in the province, focusing on trade, services, and tourism. Binh Dinh province wished that LOTTE Group would make investment in the area. He asserted that Binh Dinh always wanted Korean investors to come to the province thanks to the investment attraction policies, which had created the best conditions for investors to operate and committed to supporting them.

Vietnam and Korea have established a very close relationship with each other. Quy Nhon city also has a partnership relation with Yongsan district of Korea. Yongsan District Standing Office and Sejong Korean Language Center in Quy Nhon city were founded and came into operation in April 2016. Yongsan district has greatly supported Binh Dinh province in various fields such as health, construction, tourism, etc. In particular, Yongsan district has built a road and park named "Quy Nhon, Vietnam" in the area. Yongsan district desk; Quy Nhon city has also invested in building the "Yongsan" route in Quy Nhon city. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the partnership relation (2021), two localities agreed to build the Korean Cool House project on Yongsan street, Quy Nhon city.

Also on this occasion, Binh Dinh province respectfully invited the leaders of LOTTE Viet Nam Shopping Joint Stock Company to come to Binh Dinh to attend the UIM F1H2O International Professional Motorboat Race and UIM-ABP Aquabike Binh Dinh Grand Prix 2024 ; the Investment Promotion Conference in 2024 to take place at the end of March 2024 in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.
