Binh Dinh province sends an investment promotion delegation to Thailand

From February 25 - 29, 2024, a delegation of Binh Dinh province led by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, organizes investment promotion activities in Thailand.

Accordingly, during this investment promotion trip of the province to Thailand, Binh Dinh province shall meet with a number of businesses in tourism sector, Krabi province leaders and visit the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand. Besides, the delegation shall meet with a number of billionaires and leading businesses in seaports, logistics,... such as: Assay Bangkok Group; SOL Group, CP Group, Pisut Logistic Company.

Identifying Thailand as one of the important partners, Binh Dinh province has supported and created favorable conditions for Thai businesses to implement highly effective investment projects, while proactively organizing promotion activities, attracting more Thai investors to Binh Dinh. Specifically: In September 2022, Binh Dinh province coordinated with Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Corporation and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) to organize an investment promotion seminar with Thai enterprises in online and face-to-face forms. In March 2023, Binh Dinh province sent a delegation to Thailand to implement an investment promotion program, significantly the Investment Promotion Conference of Binh Dinh Province – Thailand was held, which attracted over 150 Thai businesses to attend.

In Binh Dinh province, there are currently 10 projects of Thai investors and businesses with a total registered investment capital of USD 106.97 million USD. Most projects have achieved good results, contributing to creating numerous jobs and increasing people's income. Thailand is also a familiar commodity trading market for the province's export and import businesses. In 2023, export turnover from Binh Dinh to the Thai market reaches USD 1.55 million (an increase of 179.5% compared to 2022); import turnover from Thailand reached USD 2.48 million, down 56.3% compared to 2022.
