The province would send an official document to the Embassy clearly stating the contents of cooperation in investment, science and technology and hope that the cooperative efforts between the two sides would bring good results in the near future.

The Ambassador thanked the province for the respectful welcome and promised to collaborate with the counselors and European associations to carry out the proposal of Chairman Pham Anh Tuan.

Vietnam and Belgium established diplomatic relations on March 22, 1973. The year 2023 marks 50 years of establishing diplomatic relation and 5 years of strategic partnership in the agricultural sector.

The Kingdom of Belgium is a country quite close and familiar to the authorities in Binh Dinh province. Although attracting foreign direct investment from Belgian businesses and investors has not achieved the desired results, through two-way foreign trade activities and ODA and NGO capital sources,... , Belgium has also made positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province.

Binh Dinh province received ODA capital sponsored by the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium with a total value of 7.5 million EURO to implement the Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Binh Dinh province previously. The project focuses on two areas of rural water supply and environmental sanitation with the goal of improving the quality of life of people in localities participating in the project with 4 components, including: constructing Phu Cat district water supply work; upgrading Hoc Mon reservoir, Phu My district; developing a strategy to develop capacity in clean water and solid waste management, and organize activities to strengthen solid waste management capacity for districts and towns participating in the project; supporting the construction of solid waste landfills in Phu My, Tay Son and Hoai Nhon districts. All components of the project were completed and put into use in 2015. The results of the project were significant and appreciated by the beneficiaries.
