Approving the investment policy of Vinatex My Chanh Garment Factory project

On September 22, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy the investor for Vinatex Da Nang Joint Stock Company to invest in the Vinatex My Chanh Garment Factory project.

The project is built on a land area of 3.01 hectares in Chanh Thien village, My Chanh commune and Trung Thuan village, My Chanh Tay commune, Phu My district, Binh Dinh province. The project’s total value is approximately VND 87,233 billion (in which the investor's contribution to implement the project accounts for 30% of the total value, the remaining capital is mobilized from credit organizations).

The project's goal is to produce all kinds of clothes with a capacity of about 950,000 clothes of all kinds/year. The project is expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2024 and shall be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2025.

Cumulatively, in the province there are 136 garment production projects with a total investment capital of about 4,970 billion VND, total design capacity of about 135 million products/year; of which 125 projects have been put into operation and 11 projects are under investment. Vinatex My Chanh Garment Factory project is consistent with the development orientation of the garment industry in Binh Dinh province until 2030. When put into operation, it will increase the value of industrial and handicraft production of the country. localities, contributing to increasing budget revenue and creating jobs and income for local workers, also contributing to stabilizing social security and socio-economic development of Phu My district. It is expected that the labor force used for the project is about 1,100 people.
