The Investment Promotion conference with IHK enterprises in Nuremberg city
The conference was attended by Dr. Manuel Hertel, Deputy Executive Director of the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce; Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder, CEO, Kurz Group; Mr. Bjoern Koslowski, Deputy of AHK Vietnam, Head of Market Entry Strategy Consulting and several representatives of 12 other enterprises in Germany. The conference recorded the speeches of the Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, IHK, AHK, Kurz Group and Becamex Binh Dinh.

At the conference, Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder, CEO, Kurz Group also shared his experience in studying Vietnam, the time he went through 20 localities in Vietnam and stopped in Binh Dinh. He said he chose Binh Dinh for the project because he felt the enthusiasm and dedication of the leaders of Binh Dinh province, he did not realize that there was a gap between the two countries, and the location chosen for the factory had good geographic features and synchronous infrastructure (In Binh Dinh, Kurz Group is investing in an film forming emulsion factory Phase 1 with a total investment of USD 40 million, which is expected to complete and put into operation in the third quarter of 2023 with a capacity of up to 15,000,000 m2 of products/year.)

Dr. Manuel Hertel, Deputy Executive Director of Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce welcomed the delegation to Germany, he appreciated the potentials and advantages of Binh Dinh province. Especially, the delegation led by the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee went to Germany demonstrated the leadership’s special determination in enhancing the local socio-economic situation, Dr. Manuel Hertel called on German businesses to choose such places to invest. He said that IHK currently has over 140,000 member companies with 5,000 entrepreneurs and experts, so IHK is ready to introduce some businesses to investigate the investment environment of the province.

On behalf of AHK Vietnam, Mr. Bjoern Koslowski, Deputy Head of AHK Vietnam, Head of Market Entry Strategy Consulting, said that currently there were 450 projects in Vietnam, but most of them were in Ho Chi Minh city. In Binh Dinh, there are only four projects. However, with the advantage of an airport, a deep-sea port, enthusiasm from leaders at all levels, and quick procedures, in the upcoming time, he would invite AHK businesses to Binh Dinh to survey and find investment opportunities and he himself will continue to invite more German businesses to Binh Dinh.

On behalf of Binh Dinh province, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, thanked the attentive reception of IHK members and Kurz Group. He said: “Over the years, the trade and investment cooperation between Binh Dinh province and the German business community has expanded and deepened step by step. However, the results of attracting investment from German enterprises in Binh Dinh province are still quite modest, not commensurate with the potential of cooperation between two sides. Especially, the thin film factory project of KURZ Group invested in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial - Urban and Service Park, started construction in May 2022, with an investment of USD 40 million, which will be inaugurated in September 2023, is expected to be a typical project for high-tech production, contributing to attracting other similar projects to invest in Binh Dinh.
Today I had an opportunity to visit a Kurz factory in Furth. The conference was also attended by leaders of KURZ Group, I would like to express my deep impression of your project, both in terms of scale, advanced technology, as well as professional management and modern operation. And I strongly believe that the project of KURZ Group in Binh Dinh province shall be invested, managed, operated as effectively and successfully as your project in Germany." He pledged to direct the coordination and maximum support for German investors in implementing their projects under favorable conditions, putting the projects into operation, promoting investment efficiency as well as socio-economic development for Binh Dinh province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, General Director of Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company gives a speech
On the occasion of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, General Director of Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company shared some information about Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial - Urban and Service Complex in Canh Vinh commune, Van Canh district. He reported that the corporation has made investment in 1000 ha of industrial park infrastructure and more than 400 ha of Service Urban area. So far, the complex is considered the leading model Industrial, Urban and Service complex in Central Vietnam, and an industrial, ecological urban complex.
Enterprises attending the IHK Enterprise Investment Promotion Conference in Nuremberg, Germany
Enterprises attending the conference promised to come to Binh Dinh in the near future to study and evaluate investment possibilities in Binh Dinh province. Currently, the whole province has only 4 projects of German investors (a stone processing project of Viet-Euro Stone Co., Ltd.; a pharmaceutical factory project of Fresenius Kabi; a garment factory project of Mountech Company Branch and a manufacturing factory project of Kurz Group with total value of USD 55.09 million). In general, these projects are operating effectively.
