Hoai Nhon invites investment in domestic solid waste treatment area

With the goal of improving the efficiency of solid waste management to improve environmental quality, ensure public health and sustainable urban development, Hoai Nhon Town People's Committee invites investment in a domestic waste treatment area with advanced, modern and environmentally friendly technology.

Location of the domestic waste treatment area in Hoai Nhon town

The project site is at the existing solid waste treatment area of Hoai Nhon town, and an expansion of 05ha in Thiet Dinh Nam quarter, Bong Son ward, Hoai Nhon town (Northern part of the existing solid waste landfill in Hoai Nhon town).

The project applies advanced and modern technology (not using landfill method); encourage the combination of many technologies to increase the efficiency of recycling and reusing waste, ensuring that the rate of waste burial after treatment is less than 10%. Technology with suitable waste treatment unit price and ensure uniformity, meeting environmental regulations. Priority is given to investors with technology or technology transfer contracts in accordance with regulations. The capacity is expected to serve about 250 tons/day from 2025 and 350 tons/day from 2030.

The total value for the whole project is about VND 216.73 billion, of which the preliminary construction cost is VND 210 billion, the cost of compensation for site clearance is VND 6.73 billion.

When the project is completed, it will solve the urgent need for solid waste treatment in Hoai Nhon town and surrounding areas, reducing environmental pollution caused by waste. The land for burying garbage by landfill method will be minimized, thereby improving the living environment for people in the area and enhancing the urban landscape. Therefore, the environment shall be cleaner and sustainably protected, thereby attracting investors to invest in projects for the northern region of the province as well as attracting tourists.
