At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee briefed on the province's potentials, advantages as well as investment attraction policies. Despite being affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the province's investment attraction has made impressive outcomes. With enormous efforts in investment promotion and support, Binh Dinh has continuously reviewed policies and improved the direction in order to create favorable conditions for businesses. Now Binh Dinh is a bright spot in attracting investment in the Central region of Vietnam.
Information exchange between two sides
Vice Chairman Nguyen Tuan Thanh pledged that Binh Dinh province always invites and creates the most favorable conditions for investors to study investment and trade opportunities. In Binh Dinh, enterprises don’t face any barriers because the leadership and concerned agencies are strongly committed to supporting investors from forming ideas, finding investment opportunities, to building projects and carrying out activities quickly and efficiently.
Korean enterprises participating in the meeting expressed their interest and raised many questions to the provincial leaders, the questions focused mainly on human resources, land rental prices, socio-economic infrastructure, the fields that Binh Dinh is luring investment. An Korean investor showed special interest in being an investor of the industrial park’s infrastructure.
Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company connects with Korean businesses
Also at the meeting, Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company provided an overview of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, which covers an area of 1,374 hectares with 1,000 hectares for industrial development and the remaining area for service and urban development.
According to the representative of Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park is endowed with various favorable conditions for Korean investors such as: 25km from Quy Nhon international seaport, 30km from the international airport Phu Cat, 9km from Dieu Tri Raiway station, next to Quy Nhon city center. Currently, the IP has been carefully planned, complying with all environmental criteria, creating competitive advantages and providing comprehensive solutions for investors.
When investing in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park, businesses shall be granted with tax incentives of the Vietnamese government (10% tax rate for 15 years, exemption for the first 4 years and 50% exemption for the next 9 years, exemption for import tax to create fixed assets…).
Korea University of Technology has linkages with 20,000 member enterprises throughout Korea. The University-enterprise linkage model (research, transfer and development) is a popular trend in Korea now.
Previously, the delegation met with leaders of Korean University of Technology; Korean Energy Institute; Korean Innovation Institute; Nano Carbon Technology Centre; the Management Board of Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters.
Over the last years, Binh Dinh province has organized many seminars, conferences, domestic and foreign investment promotion programs to spread the image, potentials and investment opportunities of the province, especially Becamex Binh Dinh Industrial Park, Urban and Service Area, to disseminate policies, favorable conditions when investing in the province. At present, the technical infrastructure system of the province and of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh is completed to accelerate the development of industrial projects.
The purpose of this year’s investment promotion trip is to promote potentials and investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province, especially Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh, to bring Binh Dinh image as an ideal destination to domestic and foreign investors, especially Korean investors.
