Accordingly, the event consisted of two main activities: the Seminar "Meeting Binh Dinh - Korea 2022" with the theme "Join hands for development" on the afternoon of May 12, 2022 and the Conference "Meeting Korea 2022" ” with the theme “Convergence of resources, join hands for development” on the morning of May 13, 2022.
In the framework of the event, there were also a number of other activities such as: Exhibition booths of typical products of the provinces and cities in the Central region and the Central Highlands and Korean businesses participating in the event, which were opened on the afternoon of May 12, 2022; Gala Dinner program, connecting local, businesses, Korean partners and traditional art and culture exchange program between Vietnam and Korea on the evening of May 12, 2022; tours to tourist sites, economic zone, industrial parks in Binh Dinh province on the afternoon of May 13, 2022.
"Meet Korea in 2022" was an event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2022); it was to contribute to promoting the development of strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea in general and the provinces/cities in the Central region and the Central Highlands with Korean partners in particular.
The event was also an opportunity to introduce the potentials, strengths and socio-economic achievements of Binh Dinh province and other provinces and cities in the Central region and the Central Highlands to attract investment, enhance the economy and socio-economic growth, creating a new step in promoting international cooperation, attracting foreign direct investment, especially Korean enterprises, to Binh Dinh province and localities in the Central region and the Central Highlands.
In Binh Dinh province, there are currently 4 projects of Korean investors with total value of nearly USD 98 million. During the 2016-2020 period, Binh Dinh conducted many investment promotion activities in Yong San district, Yanggu district, Seoul city (Korea), visiting the offices of several large economic groups: Lotte Group, CJ Group, LG Group, Samsung Engineering Company, Hana E&C Company…
