Approving the 1/2000 scale plan for high-tech shrimp farming area in My Thanh commune, phu My district

On January 10, 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision approving the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of the high-tech agricultural area for shrimp development in My Thanh commune, Phu My district, Binh Dinh province.

The 1/2000 scale zoning plan of the high-tech agricultural area for shrimp development in My Thanh commune (referred to as hi-tech agricultural area) covers 375ha. The borders of the area includes the Saigon - Quy Nhon Titan Slag Factory and the planned road with a width of 30m to the north, East sea to the east, the Fishery Logistics Service Area to the south and the planned road of 45m width.

The objective of the master plan is to put into operation the policy to establish high-tech agricultural area in Binh Dinh, promote industrialization and modernization of the shrimp farming industry in particular and of agriculture and rural areas in general. It is to ensure the sustainable development of Binh Dinh high-tech agricultural area, attracting investors and flexibly meeting development needs in the market economy and international integration. The agricultural area for shrimp development aims at a modern level of production, science - technology and infrastructure. The plan produces a legal basis for investor selection, detailed planning, investment projects, construction management in accordance with the legal regulations.

When put into operation, the area shall have a synchronous technical infrastructure system suitable to the coastal terrain of Phu My district. It is also an area for shrimp breeding, research on farming processes, commercial shrimp production, food processing, shrimp processing and supporting industries, production of biological products, preservation and processing, training, transfer of scientific and technical advances to serve the shrimp industry of the province, the Central region and the whole country. Furthermore, it is a place for organizing events, fairs, exhibitions, demonstrations of technology and high-tech shrimp products; attraction of investment, high-tech human resources at home and abroad to carry out hi-tech application activities in shrimp development.
