Samsung Engineering makes a visit to Binh Dinh

On the afternoon of April 7, 2021, at the Office of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh had a meeting with Samsung Engineering Vietnam Co., Ltd. who visited Binh Dinh to find investment opportunities. The meeting was attended by the Departments: Construction, Planning and Investment, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development; Economic Zone Authority and Quy Nhon City People's Committee.

At the meeting, Samsung Engineering Vietnam Co., Ltd (under Samsung Group) expressed the desire to implement a domestic water and wastewater treatment project in the province; also, the Company revealed the plan to connect Binh Dinh to an ODA project with the capital of the Korean government.
The Department of Construction’s leader provided general information about the current infrastructure status, the province’s planning of water supply and drainage, the urban development orientation to 2025 and the need for investment and the infrastructure projects the province is luring investment.
The Department of Planning and Investment’s leader emphasized that Samsung was multinational conglomerate operating in diverse fields; therefore, Binh Dinh province wishes to invite Samsung group to thoroughly survey to invest in the fields that Binh Dinh is in need such as processing industry, manufacturing, electronics, automobile...
In 2018 and 2019, with the support of Yongsan district, Binh Dinh successfully organized an Investment Promotion Conference in Korea. Recently, on March 23, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Becamex IDC Corporation to hold an online Korean investment promotion seminar. Vietnam-Korea relations have gone through nearly 30 years since the two countries established diplomatic relation and Binh Dinh province always considers Korea an important partner in cooperation and development strategy.
Through Samsung Group, Binh Dinh conveyed the invitation to investors to come to the locality. With regard to the water and wastewater treatment projects that Samsung Engineering Vietnam Co., Ltd. is interested in, the PPC Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Tuan Thanh requested the company focused on research and send a proposal to the Provincial People's Committee in the form of direct investment and ODA.
