The online meeting is going to review friendship exchange activities between two localities recently and plan to implement some activities in the upcoming future.
The city of Izumisano, Japan wishes to hold an online meeting every year, organize a art meeting for children (children of both sides will draw pictures of their city and introduce to each other). When the Covid-19 epidemic is stable and under control, Izumisano city will send a representative to Binh Dinh province to coordinate the implementation of the friendship exchange program between two sides.
There will be about 60 participants from Izumisano city, including: Mayor, Vice Mayor, Head of Department of International Exchange, officer in charge of international exchange and representatives of Kato group. Participants of Binh Dinh province side include: Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Planning and Investment and the Economic Zone Authority.
Binh Dinh has established close relationships with Sakai City and Kansai region of Japan over the last years. Mr. Kato Hitoshi, President of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, has much affection for Binh Dinh province through supporting the expansion of economic exchanges and friendship cooperation such as introducing and promoting Binh Dinh’s image to Japanese partners at investment promotion conferences as well as luring Japanese businesses to explore investment opportunities in the province.
On October 21, 2019, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and the Government of Izumisano City, Osaka, Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Accordingly, the two sides made commitments to strengthen mutual understanding through exchanges, delegation visits, seminars, investment promotion, ...
Over the last few years, Binh Dinh has organized several investment promotion missions to Japan; the most recent visit was an investment promotion mission in Osaka, Japan from January 9-11, 2018 to invite Japanese entrepreneurs and investors to survey and explore opportunities for cooperation and investment in Binh Dinh.
As a results, many Japanese enterprises have come and seeking opportunities in the province in the fields such as renewable energy, manufacturing, labor export, health care, wood, plywood, water supply and drainage systems, aquatic products, clean vegetables, namely Kato Corporation, Toshiba Corporation, Sparx Group, Kumagaigumi Group, Hyogo Hospital Group, Fujiwara Co., Ltd., ... and most recently, Brain Works Corporation investigated cooperation in information technology and communication. Raycean INC, Maruwa Biochemic al (MBC), Hagihara Co., Ltd, Office Agentoa Co., Ltd, Okada Manufacturing, Mori Farm, Suydensya Manufacturing, Naru Takano studied investment in agricultural sector. NTT DATA Corporation, a leading Japanese corporation specializing in information technology, software solutions and web applications, research and technology consulting for foreign countries also expressed much interest in Binh Dinh.
Currently, there are 19 projects with investment capital from Japanese investors in Binh Dinh province with total investment value of USD 90.28 million.
