On October 21, 2019, Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Delegation led by Mr. Phan Cao Thang, the Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington DC., USA. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Ha Kim Ngoc – Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States.

At the meeting, Mr. Phan Cao Thang briefed on the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh in the past time, the investment attraction, potentials, advantages and fields calling for investment in the province; and he expressed the desire that the Embassy would help Binh Dinh province connect with US investors in the fields that the US have strengths in consideration of Binh Dinh’s orientation of investment attraction.

Deputy Chairman Phan Cao Thang kindly requested the Embassy to help promote the potentials and strengths of Binh Dinh to the localities, businesses and organizations of the United States, promoting friendship and cooperation with other localities in the United States.

Also at the meeting, Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc highly appreciated what Binh Dinh has achieved in term of investment attraction and affirmed that the economic, trade and investment relations between the United States and Vietnam have endlessly improved, which created an impetus for 

elevating the relations to the level of a strategic partnership in the future. This mission of Binh Dinh province to the United States has drawn great attention of many US investors and indicate such a positive meaning in strengthening cooperation and investment attraction between Vietnam and the United States in general and between Binh Dinh province and the US partners in particular.

The Ambassador strongly believed that the US-China trade tension is an opportunity for us to attract investment, the Ambassador asserted that he would wholeheartedly support the province in promoting its potentials and strengths to US partners in the near future.

Within the framework of the visit, with the support of the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States, the delegation of Binh Dinh province participated in many practical activities in the United States, including the opening of the Joint Exhibition Booth "Binh Dinh Furniture" at High Point Market International Fair for indoor and outdoor furniture.
