Grand opening ceremony of a Canadian’s Garment Plant in Binh Dinh

On 4th April 2017, at An Hoa village, Nhon Khanh commune, An Nhon district, Seldat Vietnam Company Limited held a grand opening ceremony for Vietnam Seldat garment plant. The ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives of Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Investment Promotion Centre; An Nhon district people’s committee, Nhon Khanh Commune People's Committee and staff of Seldat Vietnam Company Limited.

Cutting the ribbon to open Seldat Vietnam garment plant

Vietnam Seldat garment plant is registered by Mr Daniel Dadoun, a Canadian investor, located in an area of 2,440 m2 with objectives of processing products for domestic market and export. The plant has a capacity of 2 million products per year, capital of USD 1.17 million with 30% from the investor and 70% from Seldat Distribution Inc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Daniel Dadoun - General Director of the company expressed his gratitude to concerned departments and locality for the support he received during the project formation and corporate establishment in Binh Dinh. He revealed that the plant has more than 200 workers and is recruiting more workers so that by the end of 2017 about 500 workers will work for the plant . It is expected that by the end of 2019, the plant will expand and create jobs for approximately 5,000 people.

At the opening ceremony, Madam Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment presented the investment certificate for Seldat Vietnam Co. Ltd., and appreciated the hard work of the investor in putting the project into operation. She wished the company would thrive and achieve its goals and strategies in the future.

Mr. Daniel Dadoun, the investor of Seldat Vietnam Garment project, is a member of Seldat Distribution Inc located in New Jersey, USA. The group performs various operations in different sectors including fashion, IT services, logistics and supply chain. Seldat Distribution Inc has a representative office in Ho Chi Minh city and is expanding its activities in Vietnam. Mr. Daniel Dadoun emphasized that the plant’s objectives in Binh Dinh is not to earn benefits, but to establish a good system and standards so that Seldat Distribution Inc and others investors would come to Vietnam in the near future.
