Many prominent investment promotion events of the province and region took place in 2010. The investment promotion activities have gained significant outcomes; organizing events, preparing and popularizing the provincial image have been performed professionally. The quantity and quality of the the projects calling for investment at conferences and forums have also improved.

After the crisis, enterprises in the province have gradually recovered, reorganized and continued their business. 35 projects with total registered capital of VND 9,824,329 million were licensed in 2010. Also, 23 projects were approved and many other projects are making procedures for investment approval.

In 2010, Binh Dinh issued a large number of important policies related to reforming administrative procedures.  Through these documents, the province has regulated specific responsibilities of relevant agencies and shortened time for solving administrative procedures related to investment projects; and has constantly improved working manner, developed cooperating attitude and effective support for investors before, during and after the projects were approved and licensed.

In this economic downturn, the results from drawing investment have been quite positive; especially Nhon Hoi economic zone has drawn many large projects, which shows that its infrastructure is really ready for investors.

2011 is the first year of the socio-economic development plan stage 2011-2015. The focus will be on popularizing information, potentials, favorable conditions and policies calling for investment into Binh Dinh, especially into Nhon Hoi economic zone in order to create impetus for the following years.  

The investment promotion program in Binh Dinh in 2011 will also link with the national program. The content will be concise and focused on developing Nhon Hoi economic zone, tourism and sea. Transferring information will be done via forums, conferences, materials, editions (booklets, CDs, videos…), and advertisements on newspapers, radios, and prestigious websites in many languages.

Binh Dinh will host the first Forest Product Festival in March 2011 and this event will be an excellent opportunity to promote its image outside and to open for a series of following investment promotion activities in the year.

It is planned that Binh Dinh will attend at least four domestic investment promoting events (one hosted by Binh Dinh and three organized by the national agencies) and two overseas events.

With the existing potentials and improved infrastructures, Binh Dinh has become an attractive destination for investors. Positively, in 2011, many more investors and enterprises will come to Binh Dinh to survey and study about the investment environment here in order to fully observe and exploit its potentials.
