President of the Korea-Asia Friendship Fund presented a gift to the Provincial People's Council

According to Mr Choi Jae-Sung, President of the Korea-Asia Friendship Fund, the Teacher Training Institute will offer Korea’s experience in training high school and university teacher for Vietnam in order to improve the quality of this human resource. The Institute will consist of two areas, one for teaching (including classrooms, lecture halls, seminar rooms, audio-visual rooms, practice rooms, language rooms, dormitory and library; and the other is accommodation for teachers and their relatives. It is expected that the Institute will be located in the center of Nhon Hoi new urban area, on an area of 19 ha, the construction progress is expected to 15 months. Initial capital is estimated at approximately USD 5.3 million. After completion of the first phase, the project may increase its total capital to USD 10 million in order to build more items. If implemented successfully, this will be the third FDI project related to the field of education and scientific research in the province.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues such as land allocation, supporting mechanism, investment project preparation… Mr Secretary Nguyen Thanh Tung appreciated the idea of establishing the Teacher Training Institute in the province and asserted that the province would create favorable conditions for the Korea-Asia Friendship Fund to implement this project.
