This is the secondtime the French Consul General makes a visit to Binh Dinh. In 2013, hevisited ICISE, Quy Nhon university and some other partners. During this visit,the Consul General was very happy to see the local government’s on-goingsupport for the project of Professor Tran Thanh Van and the completion of theproject’s stage 1. The Consul General expressed desire that the project’s stage2 would continue to be supported by the provincial government. He emphasizedthat the activities of Professor Tran Thanh Van were very much appreciated.Through its activities, many scientists have come to Quy Nhon, many of themcome for the first time.

PC Deputy Mai ThanhThang thanked Mr Fabrice Mauriès for his interestin the locality. He asserted that the local government and people have beenvery delighted when Binh Dinh is chosen for construction of the ICISE. Thecentre has held a number of conferences and activities successfully. Especiallyin August 2013, the centre was officlally inaugurated the first stage. The PCDeputy wished that the French ConsulGeneral will continue to assist the activities of Mr Tran Thanh Van. Inaddition, investment from Francein Binh Dinh is not much; therefore, he would like to call upon investment from Francevia the Consulate General.

The Consul General alsoexpressed interest and raised questions about the progress of thepetro-chemical refinery project of PTT ( Thailand). He was pleased to knowthat the project’s feasibility study will be submitted to the central governmentand concerning agencies in May this year.
