The President of the Socialist Republic ofVietnam has officially appointed 20 Ambassadors, Consulate Generals in manycountries and territories around the world. Beforeleaving for work, the delegation had a meeting with leaders and representatives of the enterprisesof the localities who are running or preparedto run businesses in those countries and territories. The purpose is to learn more about potentials, strengths andopportunities to expand international cooperation and discuss how to support promotingeconomic, commercial activities, mobilizing and attracting foreign aid and investment…

On the morning of 22^ndApril, a Contact Meeting between headof Vietnam representative office abroad term 2013-2016 with the leaders of7 provinces: Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, NinhThuan, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak and Lam Dong was held in Phu Yen province. The delegates from Binh Dinh province consisted of theDeputy Chairman of the PPC Ho Quoc Dung, head of delegation and representativesfrom the department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Planning and Investmentand 40 businesses . Photo: Deputy Chairman Ho Quoc Dung was making aspeech at the conference.

At the meeting, PPC Deputy Chairman Ho QuocDung presented the province's potentials and requested that the Ambassadors andConsulate Generals give more support for businesses in order to facilitatecooperation and trade with other countries to promote commerce and investment activitiesand the Central Highlands province in general and Binh Dinh province inparticular.

According to most of the Ambassadors and Consulate Generals, inorder to boost social-economic development and attract investors, the Central andHighlands provinces need to enhance promotionactivities and administrative reform, also it is important to implementdetailed planning of projects to make it easy for foreign investors. Websitesin English with regularly updated information about the potentials and strengthsof localities should be available. To attract investors, the Ambassadorsand Consulate Generals asked the leaders of Central and  Highlands provincesto frequently provide information to Vietnamese representative agencies overseavia the links with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, which will createfavorable conditions for Ambassadors to promote and call for investment. TheAmbassadors asserted that they were willing to be an effective bridge betweenthe provinces with the foreign investors, contributing to the socio-economicdevelopment in the region and the nationwide.
