On 1.4, Mr Le Huu Loc,the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee hosted the meeting withMr Fabrice Mauriès, the ConsulateGeneral of the Republic of Francein Ho Chi Minh city.Representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Planningand Investment, Department of Health, Department of Finance, Quy Nhon University and Investment PromotionCentre also attended the affair.

At the meeting, Mr Fabrice Mauriès expressed great interest incooperation projects between Binh Dinh and France in education, irrigation andespecially the Centre International De Rencontres ScientifiquesInterdisciplinaires (CIRSI) project of the Rentres du Vietnam organization chairedby professor Tran Thanh Van, a Vietnamese expatriate from France. The ConsulateGeneral appreciated thelocal government’s support for the construction of CIRSI and revealedthat the project has been selected to be included in the program ofevents on the occasion of 40 years of relations between Vietnam and France and the Vietnam-France year.

The Chairman Le Huu Loc also introduced generalinformation about Binh Dinh, providing an overview of Nhon Hoi Economic Zoneand the ongoing projects in the locality as well as the investment opportunitiesand potentials of the province with France. Mr Fabrice Mauriès promised to promote Binh Dinhwith French business community so that more and more French businesses knowabout and come to Binh Dinh to make investment.
